Practise order planning with virtual funds and simulated fills. Orders never reach a broker.
Backtesting lab
Evaluate strategy logic against generated sample candles or import your own historical OHLC CSV. Sample candles are synthetic—not real historical prices.
Risk & position size
Calculate how much of your account is at risk before choosing a trade size. Values use clearly marked illustrative forex assumptions.
Risk only a small, pre-defined fraction of funds on any one trade. A common educational starting point is 0.5–1%, not a universal prescription.
Higher leverage generally lowers required margin for the same position, but it does not reduce the loss from a given position size and price move.
Gaps, slippage and fast markets can cause a realised loss to exceed the planned stop distance.
Trade journal
Record your reasoning, execution and lessons. Your journal is stored in this browser on this device.
Do losses cluster by strategy, pair, time frame or execution mistake?
Adjust rules only after enough evidence, then test them on unseen data.
Export backups periodically. Clearing browser data can erase locally stored entries.
